Interview with April Clough
The interview was conducted by Andreas in 2014 and published in the forum of spencerhill.de.

Terence Hill and April Clough

How was it to shoot a movie with Bud Spencer and Terence Hill? What are your memories of the shooting days of "Double Trouble"?

It was great! We shot in Brazil. The Brazilians stole our cameras and we had to stay longer. Terence was very easy - nice to kiss. He is silent and innocent - a loyal person. Bud was funny like Santa Claus - very curious and nice.

What can you say about "Stick" (1985) with Burt Reynolds?

When I was interviewed for the film I wore super high heels. I was already 5'8", he's 5'7". Before I went to the office, I realized that I was 6'2" and he was only 5'7". I was so nervous. I tried to look thin and when I went to his office, my heel from my shoe got stuck in his shag carpet and I fell right on my face. I looked up and thought: "This is it."

What else did you shoot?

I did a couple of episodes of "Dallas" and I was the female star in "TJ Hooker" with William Shatner. But because I was tall and William Shatner was short, I had to leave the show. But you can still see it if you google me. There are plenty of clips of it.

April Clough in different roles

How did you get the roles in the Spencer/Hill films? Through a casting or a manager?

The producer Salvatore Alabiso saw me acting, discovered me there and hired me on the spot. So I got the job with them. The actors and producers of the whole team were also very respectable. We had a great time.

Have you ever been to Germany?

I was on tour in Germany when I was under contract with the singing group "The Pinups" at Polydor. In 1982 I toured through many cities, also in France and Austria. I lived in Berlin and Frankfurt for eight months. The producer's names were Ingeborg and Peter Hauke.
